About this item

The Solis Lumen is two lamps in one object. With its textured dome on, it is a soft amber bedside light. Lift the dome off and it throws moving water-ripple light across the walls and ceiling. There is a Bluetooth speaker in the base, sixteen light modes on the remote, a sleep timer, and about eight hours from a USB-C charge — no app, no Wi-Fi, no account.

  • Take the dome off and the room changes — The dome is doing one job: diffusing. With it on you get a contained amber glow on the table. Lift it and the bare projection unit throws moving caustics — the light off the bottom of a swimming pool — right across the ceiling. It is a two-second change and it is the reason to buy this rather than a night light.
  • A speaker that is not trying to be clever — Bluetooth, in the base, paired the way everything was paired ten years ago. No app to install, no firmware to update, no account, no microphone listening in a bedroom. It plays what your phone sends it and stops when you stop.
  • Eight hours, and no cable if you don't want one — USB-C, about eight hours on a charge. That is what makes it portable rather than merely rechargeable: it can be carried to a bathroom, a balcony or a tent and still be lit at the end of the evening.
  • Type — Rechargeable ambient lamp with ripple projection and Bluetooth speaker
  • Light modes — 16, set from the remote
  • Projection — Dome on for diffused glow, dome off for full ripple projection

What owners say

  • Taking the dome off is the whole thing

Dome on it is a nice warm lamp. Dome off and the wall is moving water. Two completely different objects for one price.
    Imani Oyelaran
  • One thing instead of two

The speaker means the lamp and the Bluetooth box on the bedside table became one object. Table looks twice as tidy.
    Robert Enfield
  • The speaker is a lamp speaker

It is fine for podcasts and quiet music. It is not going to fill a room and it was never going to.
    Nicola Brandt
  • No app, and I am grateful

Touch the base or use the remote. Nothing to pair, nothing to update, nothing asking for my email.
    Gerald Mutamba
  • The sleep timer gets used every night

Thirty minutes, reading, and it goes off on its own. I have not turned this lamp off manually in a month.
    Elsa Wideroe
  • Caustics look like real water

Because it is a real optical effect rather than an animation. It never repeats and you can tell.
    Malik Turay
  • Needs a plain wall

Ours has a textured feature wall on one side and it eats the pattern. The plain wall opposite is perfect.
    Roisin Callaghan
  • Best bedside lamp I have owned

And I have owned many. The dome on setting is exactly the light level I want at eleven at night.
    Theo Vandenberg
  • 16 modes, and about five are useful

That is not a complaint. Five good settings beats sixteen mediocre ones and the warm amber is perfect.
    Sabrina Achterberg
  • Dome storage

There is nowhere designed to put the dome when it is off. It sits beside the lamp and looks fine, but a slot would have been nice.
    Owen Tremellen
  • Turned my flat into a decent space to be in

Small rented living room, awful overhead light. This and a rug fixed it.
    Dilani Rajapaksa
  • Charge lasts genuinely long

A few hours a night and I charge it maybe twice a week.
    Fabian Kreuzer
  • Remote from bed

Colour, brightness, timer, off. Never getting up to switch a lamp again.
    Charlotte Nyman
  • Keep it dry

No water rating on this one - the Vesta is the bathroom version. I nearly bought the wrong one.
    Hugh Barrington
  • The texture on the dome is nice even unlit

It looks like a proper object in daylight, which most lamps of this kind do not.
    Yara Haddad
  • Partner asked where I got it

Then asked for one. Two in the house now.
    Colin Weatherby
  • Reading light and mood light in the same lamp

Rare. Usually a lamp is one or the other.
    Anneliese Grob
  • Touch control is sensitive

Brushing past it changes the mode. Learned to use the remote instead.
    Patrick Ubeda
  • Three months, still perfect

Nightly use. Nothing has dimmed, the battery still holds, the dome is unmarked.
    Sofia Kalogeropoulos
  • Better than the branded designer one

A friend has one at four times the price that does less.
    Errol Kinsella
  • Bright pattern needs the lights fully off

Half-dark is not enough. Once you know that it is fine.
    Meredith Ashby
  • The one thing on the bedside table I would replace immediately

If it broke tomorrow I would buy another that day.
    Tunde Balarabe
  • It does actually help me sleep

Timer, dome on, warm. It is a ritual now rather than a light.
    Josefine Lindahl
  • Heavier than expected

Which is good on a table, less good if you were planning to move it around a lot.
    Damon Fitzhugh
  • Christmas present that got used in January

    And February, and March.
    Eleni Papadaki

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between this and the Solis Vesta?

This one has the Bluetooth speaker and a sleep timer; the Vesta does not, but it is IP44 splash-resistant and it is a taller, stemmed table-lamp shape. Sound and a bedside table: Lumen. A steamy bathroom shelf: Vesta.

Do I need an app?

No. Sixteen modes on the remote, touch on the base, and the speaker pairs over plain Bluetooth. There is no app, no Wi-Fi and nothing to register.

How bright is it?

It is an ambient lamp, not a reading light and not a ceiling light. With the dome on it lights a bedside table and the wall behind it. If you need to read a book, you need a different lamp.

Can I use it while it charges?

Yes, it runs from the cable. Up to eight hours off the battery when you want it cordless.

Is it waterproof?

No. This model carries no water rating at all. The Solis Vesta is the IP44 splash-resistant one in this range — if it is going in a bathroom, buy that instead.

How good is the speaker?

It is a small single driver in a lamp base. It is for a podcast, a sleep track or quiet music in one room — it is not a hi-fi and the supplier does not publish an output figure, so we are not going to invent one.

Does the ripple move on its own?

Yes. The projection drifts continuously with the dome off — that movement is the effect. It does not need sound to trigger it.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are confirmed and processed within 2–3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Chinese public holidays), then typically arrive within 6–12 business days in the US, UK, Germany and the rest of Europe, or 8–15 business days in Canada (7–14 elsewhere), tracked all the way to your door.

Is shipping free?

Yes, on every order of $29.99 or more. Below $29.99, standard shipping is a flat $9.99, shown at checkout before you pay.

What is your return policy?

30-day returns, no questions asked. If it isn't right, contact us and we'll arrange the return.

Is there a warranty?

Every product carries a full 1-year warranty on top of the 30-day money-back promise.

Which payment methods do you accept?

All major cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay — processed through Shopify's encrypted, PCI-compliant checkout.

How do I track my order?

You'll get a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships, and you can check progress any time on our Track Order page.
