SKU SF-AEGISMKV-CRI
The Solis Aegis MK-V is the original of the range: a 1:1 wearable helmet whose motorized faceplate opens on your voice, a touch at the ear or a press of the remote — in three finishes.
Micro servos drive the faceplate up and down in one continuous movement — fully open, or in a split mode where the panels move on their own.
Dual LEDs sit behind the eye lenses with subtle accent lights at the ears, bright enough to glow in photos without washing out.
A padded interior and a stabilised frame keep the weight balanced on the crown for a convention day or a photo shoot.
Seen in the wild
Overview
The Solis Aegis MK-V is the helmet that started the range — a precise, 1:1 scale replica of the classic armoured-hero helmet, built for collectors, cosplayers and anyone who wants the real mechanism rather than a static bust.
It answers to three kinds of command. Speak to it, touch one of the two sensors at the ears, or use the wireless remote from across the room, and the motorized faceplate rises while the LED eyes and ear lights come on.
Inside, a padded lining and a stabilised frame spread the weight so it can be worn for an event, not just a photo. Outside, a moulded ABS shell carries a multi-layer metallic finish in three colourways: Classic Red & Gold, Silver & Red, and the all-black Dark Edition.
Voice · touch · remote
Speak to it, touch an ear sensor or press the remote — three ways to open the faceplate.
Micro servo drive
The faceplate lifts in about 1.8 s, fully or with the moving panels.
Eyes + ear accents
Dual LEDs behind the lenses and accent lights at the ears.
Padded, balanced
Stabilised frame and breathable padding for longer wear.
ABS + metallic finish
Multi-layer lacquer over a moulded ABS shell, built for the shelf and the event.

Customer reviews
Say the word and it opens. That's the party trick and it works every time.
You feel the build quality the second you pick it up.
Once you learn to take the back plate off first it's easy. Read the instructions.
No orange peel, no thin spots on the gold. Looks like a display piece.
Triggers it from the sofa, which is how it ends up on the shelf display.
Wore it for four hours. Warm but wearable, and I could still see fine.
Brilliant in photos, a bit much in a small room. Not a real complaint.
Foam inserts, nothing loose. It survived the courier untouched.
Worth the price for that alone. Now it lives on his desk.
Bought a cheaper version first. This is a different class of product.
Voice command, and it opens in three stages. That is the shot everyone wants.
It feels like a display piece rather than dressing-up plastic.
At a party it misses half the commands. At home it is reliable.
Worn twice, displayed permanently.
Photographs well in a dark room, which is most of the point.
Fine for photographs and short wear. Not built for an evening in it.
And I have a lot on that shelf.
Battery life is for a session, not a night.
Which matters at this size.
Only the paint. Classic Red & Gold, Silver & Red and Dark Edition share the same shell, mechanism, lights and controls, and cost the same.
About four hours of continuous use on 4 × AA cells in the helmet; the remote runs on a single AAA.
No. It is a wearable collector's piece, not safety equipment — it is not certified for riding, sport or impact protection. Enjoy it on display, at events and in photos, never on the road.
One size fits most adults: head circumferences of roughly 55–62 cm (21.5–24.5 in). The padded interior keeps it steady; take short breaks during long wear.
Not for children under 6 — it contains small parts. Older children should wear it with an adult nearby.
Every manufacturing defect and hardware failure under normal use for five years from delivery — the faceplate motors, the voice module, the LEDs, the touch sensors and the remote. Drops, liquid damage and batteries are not covered.
Wipe it with a soft microfibre cloth, avoid harsh cleaners and water, and store it somewhere cool and dry out of direct sunlight. Take the batteries out if it will sit unused for weeks.
