About this item

The Solis Nectar is a slow, cold-press juicer with a feed chute wide enough for whole apples and oranges. A slow-turning auger presses the juice out instead of shredding it at speed, and the pulp leaves through its own outlet — so you load, press and pour without stopping to empty a basket.

  • Feed it whole — The narrow chute is the reason most juicers are a chore: everything has to be cut to fit. The Nectar's hopper opens 5.12 inches across on the Nectar 65, which takes a whole small apple, a halved orange or a handful of leaves in one go. Load it, close the lid, and the auger draws the fruit down on its own.
  • Pressed, not spun — A centrifugal juicer shreds fruit against a blade at thousands of revolutions a minute; the heat and air it whips in are why its juice foams and separates. The Nectar turns a single auger slowly and presses the juice through a fine screen instead, which gives a denser glass with less foam on top.
  • Built to be cleaned — Pulp is pushed out of its own outlet while you juice, so there is no basket to scrape. When you are done the hopper, auger and screen come away from the base, the food-contact parts can go in the dishwasher, and the reverse setting clears anything fibrous that wraps the auger mid-press.
  • Type — Slow (masticating) cold-press juicer
  • Feed chute — 5.12 in / 130 mm (Nectar 65)
  • Motor — 250 W (Nectar 65)

Customer reviews

What owners say

  • Whole apples, no chopping

The chute really does take a small apple whole. I used to spend ten minutes cutting fruit to fit my old machine; now I just drop it in.
    Laura B.
  • Juice without the foam

Coming from a fast spinning juicer, the difference is obvious. The glass is thick and there is barely any froth sitting on top.
    Marcus D.
  • Reverse button saved me

Overloaded it with celery and it stalled. Hit reverse for a couple of seconds and it carried on without me opening anything.
    Priya S.
  • Rinse it straight away

Cleanup is quick if you do it right after juicing. I left it an hour once and the screen needed a proper scrub with the brush.
    Tom H.
  • Morning carrot and ginger

Carrot, apple and a thumb of ginger every morning before work. Pulp drops out the side so I never stop to empty anything.
    Elena R.
  • No puddle on the counter

Small thing, but the spout closes so I can swap glasses for my two kids without juice running everywhere.
    Ryan K.
  • Bigger than my last one

Took more counter space than I planned for, so it lives in the corner now. Worth it for how fast whole oranges go through.
    Grace T.
  • Greens actually juice

Spinach and kale used to come out as wet pulp. The slow auger squeezes a decent amount out of a handful of leaves.
    Owen P.
  • Titanium grey looks sharp

Went for the grey Nectar 65. The dial on the front is simple and it looks good enough to leave out.
    Sophie L.
  • Not for bananas

I wanted it for smoothies too. Bananas and avocado just do not give juice, so I still need the blender for those. Great for hard fruit though.
    Daniel F.
  • Dishwasher does the rest

Hopper, auger and screen come off in seconds and go on the top rack. Only the base gets a wipe.
    Hannah W.
  • Pit everything first

Peaches and mangoes need the stones out, which is a bit of prep. After that it handles them easily and quietly.
    Leo M.
  • Quiet enough at 6 am

Nobody upstairs wakes up when I juice before my run. My old one sounded like a blender.
    Monica A.
  • The warranty sold me

Three years cover was the deciding point between this and two others. Six months in and it runs like the first day.
    Victor N.
  • Pineapple without the rind

Cut the skin off, quartered it and fed it straight in. Sweetest juice I have made at home.
    Isabel C.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Nectar 65 and the Nectar 90?

They press the same way — a slow auger, a wide hopper, pulp ejected through its own outlet. The Nectar 65 has a round body with a rotary dial on the front and comes in midnight black or titanium grey. The Nectar 90 has a squared, two-tone base and comes in titanium grey. The figures on this page (chute, motor, size, weight) are the Nectar 65's; the manufacturer has not yet published a spec sheet for the Nectar 90, so we do not quote one.

What can I put through it?

Apples, pears, citrus, carrots, beetroot, celery, cucumber, pineapple, ginger and leafy greens all juice well. Remove hard stones (peaches, mangoes, cherries) and thick inedible peel (melon, pineapple rind) first. Very soft fruit such as banana or avocado has little juice to give and belongs in a blender instead.

How long does it take to clean?

Rinse it straight after use, before the pulp dries. The hopper, auger and screen lift off the base, the food-contact parts are dishwasher safe, and a brush clears the screen. Never put the motor base in water.

What does the 3-year warranty cover?

Faults in materials and workmanship for three years from the day the juicer is delivered. If the motor or a part fails in normal household use, we repair it, send a replacement part, or replace the juicer. Wear from misuse, dropping, or putting stones and ice through it is not covered.

Which plug and voltage will I get?

The juicer is made in 120 V and 230 V versions. Tell us your country at checkout and we ship the version for your mains supply.
