About this item

The Snowman Critter Onesie turns a soft flannel romper into an animal: a character hood, a cream tummy panel and a zip down the front — sized for babies and toddlers from 56 to 110 cm.

  • The Snowman design — The largest snowman on record stood over 37 metres tall, built in Maine in 2008. A soft snowman suits winter photo shoots and holiday gatherings when it is too cold for the real thing.
  • The hood is the character — Each design is built into the hood — ears, horns, spines or fins stitched in place — so the animal reads from every angle, and the body stays a simple romper underneath.
  • Easy on, easy off — A zip runs down the front, which is what makes a costume usable on a wriggling baby: open it, change them, zip it back up.
  • Design — Snowman
  • Fabric — 100% polyester flannel
  • Hood — Sewn-on character hood, not detachable

What owners say

  • A snowman building one

Took her out for her first snowfall in this. A snowman building a snowman, and the photo is going on every card.
    Brooke H.
  • Christmas lunch favourite

Wore it to the family Christmas lunch. The aunts fought over who got to hold the little snowman.
    Holly N.
  • Size 70 roomy on a newborn

At 57 cm she is right at the bottom of size 70 and it is loose. It will be lovely in a month or two.
    Molly D.
  • Washed back to white

I was worried a white suit would be ruined fast. Cold wash, inside out, and it came back bright.
    Ashley R.
  • Bitter December walks

Snowman suit plus a blanket and she stays warm and content in the buggy.
    Harriet L.
  • Shows every mark

It washes well, but white flannel shows every drip of puree. Not one for mealtimes.
    Orla K.
  • Round snowman hood

The rounded hood frames her face so sweetly. Her brother keeps trying to boop it.
    Wendy P.
  • Advent photo every day

We take a photo each December morning and this suit is in half of them.
    Gina S.
  • Warm for the living room

Lovely outside, but in our heated living room he got flushed after half an hour.
    Rosa F.
  • For a December niece

Our niece was born in December, so a snowman felt right. Her mum says it is the cosiest thing she owns.
    Danielle V.
  • Before bath, not bed

Handy for the evening before bath. We follow the guidance and change her before she goes down.
    Imogen C.
  • Christmas market waves

We wore it round the Christmas market and the stallholders waved at her all evening.
    Lauren V.
  • Still going in February

Kept using it through January and February on cold mornings. A winter suit, not a one-day costume.
    Nadia H.
  • Ten business days

Arrived fine and tracked, just slower than the big shops. Worth ordering in November.
    Rachel F.
  • Size 100 for 84 cm

She is 84 cm and the 100 fits with room for a vest. The arms reach her wrists.
    Shannon E.
  • With her knitted snowman

Paired it with a knitted snowman toy her nan made. Adorable together.
    Will S.
  • Leaves the hood alone

She rips hats off within seconds, but she leaves this hood alone. Probably because it is soft and not tight.
    Danny F.
  • Hood does not come off

A detachable hood would be handier for the car seat, but it is sewn on.
    Kelsey B.
  • Screenshots from abroad

Put it on for a video call with the grandparents abroad. They took a dozen screenshots.
    Pete G.
  • Thick but easy to move in

Feels plush, yet she can still kick and wriggle freely.
    Dominic P.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I order?

Go by height. Size 70 fits 56–66 cm, 80 fits 66–70 cm, 90 fits 70–80 cm, 100 fits 80–90 cm, 110 fits 90–100 cm and 120 fits 100–110 cm. Between two sizes, take the larger — it leaves room for a layer underneath.

What is it made of?

100% polyester flannel, including the hood. Machine wash cold, inside out, and zip it up first.

Can my child sleep in it?

No. It is a costume and loungewear, not sleepwear. It is a loose, hooded plush garment; children should sleep in close-fitting sleepwear with nothing near the face. Take it off before naps and bedtime, and keep an eye on a baby in it so they do not overheat.
