No. They only wear the band and press the button. The alert goes through the free app on your phone and the phones of the other family members you add.

Do I need to be on the same WiFi?

No. The band uses the WiFi in your parent's home; you get the alert anywhere your phone has mobile data or WiFi — at work, in the car, on holiday.

Can more than one person receive the alert?

Yes. Add several family members in the app and all of them are notified at the same time.

Does it call emergency services?

No. It alerts the family members you set up, who then decide what to do. It is not a monitored service, has no fall detection and does not replace calling emergency services.

Does it work outside the house?

It needs your parent's home WiFi, so it is made for use at home and in the garden within WiFi range — not on walks or trips.

Can they wear it in the shower?

It handles handwashing and splashes. Take it off for baths, swimming and long showers.
