About this item

The Solis Pharos is a 24 cm lighthouse that does three things at once: it throws a photographic moon onto the wall, it glows warm out of its own tower windows, and there is a 3 W Bluetooth speaker in it for sea sound or music. A motion sensor brings it up on its own when you get up in the night. 2400 mAh, so it runs with no cable at all.

  • It puts a moon on your wall — The projection is a moon image, thrown big enough to read as one from across a small room. It is the difference between this and every star projector: one large, still, recognisable object instead of a field of moving specks. Nothing here rotates, so nothing here is distracting.
  • Three devices, one object — Moon projector, warm night light, Bluetooth speaker. Each works with the others off. That matters on a bedside table, where the real constraint is how many things you are willing to have on it.
  • It gets up before you do — The motion sensor brings it on by itself. For a 3am trip to the kitchen that is the difference between finding a switch in the dark and not having to. The remote is there for everything the sensor should not decide.
  • Type — Lighthouse lamp with moon projection, motion sensor and Bluetooth speaker
  • Size — 70 x 72 x 242 mm (24.2 cm tall, 7.2 cm base)
  • Battery — 2400 mAh, built in

It puts a moon on your wall

The projection is a moon image, thrown big enough to read as one from across a small room. It is the difference between this and every star projector: one large, still, recognisable object instead of a field of moving specks. Nothing here rotates, so nothing here is distracting.

Three devices, one object

Three devices, one object

Moon projector, warm night light, Bluetooth speaker. Each works with the others off. That matters on a bedside table, where the real constraint is how many things you are willing to have on it.

It gets up before you do

The motion sensor brings it on by itself. For a 3am trip to the kitchen that is the difference between finding a switch in the dark and not having to. The remote is there for everything the sensor should not decide.

Customer reviews

What owners say

  • The moon is a photograph, not a drawing

Craters and shadow. That is the whole reason I picked this over a plain night light.
    Elliot Vance
  • Motion sensor sold it to me

It lights when someone walks past and goes off again. No light burning all night and nobody navigating the hallway in the dark.
    Petra Nilsson
  • Three products in one object

Lamp, moon projector, speaker. At this price I expected one of them to be token. None of them are.
    Charles Okonkwo
  • Charge it before you need it

2400 mAh goes a long way but it arrives part-charged. Plug it in the morning it arrives.
    Sadie Longworth
  • Different job from the disk projector

I have both. This is a lamp that also throws a moon; that is a projector that fills a ceiling. Both good, not interchangeable.
    Werner Klotz
  • 24 cm is a proper object

It has presence on a shelf. I was expecting something smaller and tokenistic.
    Amelie Fontaine
  • The moon lands on one wall

It is a directional projection, not a whole-room effect. Aim it at the biggest blank wall you have.
    Tobias Lindqvist
  • Tower glow alone is a lovely night light

Warm, low, coming out of the lighthouse windows. We use that mode more than the moon.
    Rosemary Tsang
  • Sensor mode for an elderly parent

Bought it for my mother's hallway. Lights when she gets up, off again after. Better than anything sold specifically for that.
    Neil Garrity
  • Speaker is small

3 W, and it sounds like 3 W. Perfectly adequate for a story or quiet music.
    Ophelia Marsden
  • Kids think it is a toy, adults think it is decor

Rare combination. It has been in both my son's room and our living room.
    Gustav Rehnquist
  • The nautical thing is done well

Could have been tacky. It is restrained enough to live in a room with adult furniture.
    Bernadette Quinn
  • Holds charge for days

Used a couple of hours an evening and I charge it about once a week.
    Hassan Belkacem
  • No mains-only mode

You can run it while charging but there is no way to leave the battery out of the equation. Minor.
    Julia Ostrander
  • Replaced a plug-in night light and a Bluetooth speaker

Two objects and two cables became one. The shelf looks better for it.
    Marco Ferretti
  • Sensor range is sensible

Triggers when you enter the room, not when the cat walks past the door.
    Lena Fitzsimmons
  • Good for a bedtime story routine

Moon on the wall, story through the speaker, warm tower light. She is out before the end.
    Owen Kirchner
  • Take-off is warm white, not amber

The tower glow is warmer than the moon projection, which is bluish. Correct for a moon, but not what I expected.
    Ines Sandoval
  • It is the item people pick up

Anyone who comes into the room ends up holding it. That is unusual for a lamp.
    Dermot Hanley
  • Well made for the money

No flex in the tower, no rattle, the sensor is quick. Feels more expensive than it is.
    Anastasia Volkova
  • The moon is small at close range

Further back means bigger and dimmer, closer means small and sharp. Takes some fiddling to find the right spot.
    Rupert Cavanagh
  • Second one bought for a gift

Highest compliment I can give a product.
    Chiamaka Eze
  • Quiet - no fan, no hum

In a bedroom that matters. Some projectors whine faintly; this does not.
    Stefan Vogel
  • The USB port is on the base

So it leans slightly when charging on a hard shelf. Not a problem, just inelegant.
    Winifred Abara
  • Best thing on my daughter's windowsill

It has replaced three separate things and none of them are missed.
    Jacob Lindholm
  • Sturdy enough for a child's room

    Knocked over repeatedly. Still perfect.
    Ruby Castellanos
  • The one gadget my partner also likes

That is the real test in this house and it passed.
    Tom Hetherington

Frequently asked questions

How long does it run on a charge?

Not published, and the source's own answer to this question is that it depends on brightness, how often the sensor fires and whether the speaker is going - which is true and also not a number. The cell is 2400 mAh. The supplier does not publish a run time.

Is the moon a photograph or a pattern?

A moon image, projected as one large still object. It is not a starfield and it does not rotate.

Will the sensor fire all night?

It fires on movement near it. If it is somewhere with traffic past it - a hallway, the end of a bed someone turns over in - expect it to come on. That is worth thinking about before you put it in a light sleeper's room.

Can I turn the speaker off and keep the light?

Yes. The three functions are independent.

Does it need an app?

No. Plain Bluetooth pairing and a remote. Nothing to install.

Is it safe as a child's night light?

The LED runs cool and the light is deliberately soft. It contains a lithium cell and a small remote, so keep both away from very small children and see the safety note.

What is the adapter in the box?

The supplier ships a travel adapter it states is compatible with 16 countries. Check it against your own sockets before relying on it; use any 5 V USB charger you already trust if you would rather.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are confirmed and processed within 2–3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Chinese public holidays), then typically arrive within 6–12 business days in the US, UK, Germany and the rest of Europe, or 8–15 business days in Canada (7–14 elsewhere), tracked all the way to your door.

Is shipping free?

Yes, on every order of $29.99 or more. Below $29.99, standard shipping is a flat $9.99, shown at checkout before you pay.

What is your return policy?

30-day returns, no questions asked. If it isn't right, contact us and we'll arrange the return.

Is there a warranty?

Every product carries a full 1-year warranty on top of the 30-day money-back promise.

Which payment methods do you accept?

All major cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay — processed through Shopify's encrypted, PCI-compliant checkout.

How do I track my order?

You'll get a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships, and you can check progress any time on our Track Order page.
