About this item

The Solis Forge is a 12-inch frying pan with a hammered pure-titanium cooking surface and a tempered glass lid, made without PFAS, PFOA or PTFE — so the food release comes from the metal itself rather than from a coating that wears off.

  • The surface is the metal — A conventional non-stick pan is aluminium wearing a coating, and the coating is the part that fails — first at the scratch, then everywhere. Here the release texture is hammered into pure titanium. There is no layer to wear through, which is why metal utensils are not a problem.
  • No PFAS, PFOA or PTFE — PTFE is the polymer behind most non-stick pans and it belongs to the PFAS family. Minnesota banned cookware with intentionally added PFAS from 1 January 2025, and Colorado, Connecticut, Maine and Vermont followed on 1 January 2026. This pan is built without them.
  • Even heat, and a real sear — An impact-bonded composite base carries heat across the whole pan instead of concentrating it over the burner. That is what lets a steak brown edge-to-edge rather than in a ring in the middle.
  • Size — 12 inch
  • Capacity — 2 quarts
  • Cooking surface — Hammered pure titanium

What owners say

  • The eggs test passed, which is all I cared about

Preheated properly, oil in, and they slid. That is what I wanted to know before spending this on a pan with no coating.
    Hannah B.
  • Metal utensils, no anxiety

The whole point. A steel turner on this does nothing, where my last pan started shedding at month four.
    Greg N.
  • Bare titanium wants a different habit

Hotter preheat, then the heat down, and be patient before you move the food. Three or four cooks and it clicks — but it is not the same as a non-stick and nobody should pretend it is.
    Ceren K.
  • Twelve inches is a real twelve inches

Four chicken thighs with room between them instead of stacked. The lid earns its place more than I expected.
    Ryan T.
  • Heavier than the pan it replaced

The composite base is the reason the heat is even, and it is also the reason my wrist notices. Two hands for the tip-out.
    Julia M.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really non-stick without a coating?

The release texture is hammered into the titanium itself rather than sprayed on as a separate layer, so there is nothing to scratch through or wear away. It behaves differently from a PTFE pan: preheat it properly and use a little oil, and food releases cleanly.

What does PFAS-free actually mean here?

It means the pan is made without per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, the chemical family that includes PTFE — the polymer most non-stick coatings are built from — and PFOA. Eight US states now restrict cookware with intentionally added PFAS.

Can I use metal utensils?

Yes. Because the surface is the metal rather than a coating on top of it, metal utensils do not create the failure point they create on a conventional non-stick pan.

Is it dishwasher and oven safe?

Both, according to the manufacturer's care instructions. Hand washing will still keep the finish looking better for longer, as it will with any pan.

What size is it and what comes in the box?

A 12-inch pan with a 2-quart capacity, supplied with a tempered glass lid.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are confirmed and processed within 2–3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Chinese public holidays), then typically arrive within 6–12 business days in the US, UK, Germany and the rest of Europe, or 8–15 business days in Canada (7–14 elsewhere), tracked all the way to your door.

Is shipping free?

Yes, on every order of $29.99 or more. Below $29.99, standard shipping is a flat $9.99, shown at checkout before you pay.
