Product description
The Solis Core Reactor is an Iron Man arc reactor wireless charger for Marvel fans: the glowing reactor from the films, set in a CNC alloy ring engraved "Proof that Tony Stark has a heart", that charges your phone at up to 15 W on the desk.
A charger you leave out on purpose
Most wireless pads are black discs hidden behind a monitor. Lean your phone against this one and it charges at up to 15 W on Qi phones that support it, with automatic detection, lift-and-place magnetic alignment and intelligent temperature control.
Proof that Tony Stark has a heart
The line from the film is engraved into the CNC alloy ring. Power it on for the Iron Man sound effect, double-tap for the pulse-energy sound, and the ambient lighting brings back the reactor glow from the films.
The reactor lifts out
The arc reactor comes out of its engraved ring for a closer look, then goes back in on the brushed, anodised aluminium stand.
Gift-boxed for Marvel fans
It arrives in a gift box, ready for a birthday, Christmas or Father's Day: a collectible desk piece that also charges the phone every day.

Heavier than it looks
At 600 g it does not slide around when I lean my phone on it. Feels like a solid block of metal, which it mostly is.

Best thing on my desk
Everyone on video calls asks what the glowing blue thing behind me is. It also happens to charge my phone.

The start-up sound
Plugging it in for the first time and hearing the power-up sound made me laugh out loud. Double-tap pulse is a nice extra.
Verified purchase -
Brushed finish is real
The aluminium frame is properly machined, and the copper coil pieces are separate parts set into it. No cheap plastic shine.

Gift box was a bonus
Gave it to my husband for our anniversary. The box looked good enough that I did not bother wrapping it.

Nightstand glow
Keeps a soft blue light by the bed and my phone is full by morning. One cable to the wall and that is it.

Fast on my Android
Hits the full 15 W on my phone. Goes from 30 to around 80 percent over lunch.
Verified purchase -
Needs the right adapter
Use a proper 9 V adapter to get the faster speed. On an old 5 V plug it still worked, just slower.

Engraving around the ring
The little inscription around the ring is the detail I keep noticing. Sits under my monitor and looks like a prop.

Desk setup finished
I had the figures and the posters, this pulled it together. Lean the phone, it starts, done.

Does not get hot
Charged my phone through a whole afternoon and neither the phone nor the reactor got more than slightly warm.

Big enough to notice
At about 16 cm across it is bigger than a normal pad. That is the point for me, it is a display piece first.

Placement matters a bit
You need to lean the phone fairly central on the face. Once I learned the sweet spot it was no issue.

Son's graduation present
He is moving into his first apartment and wanted something for his desk. He sent me a photo of it lit up the same night.

Detects the phone itself
No button to press. Phone goes on, it starts charging, phone comes off, it just glows.
Verified purchase -
Retired my black pad
The plain charging disc went in a drawer. This one I actually want to see on the desk.
Verified purchase -
Solid build all round
Weighty, cleanly finished and no wobble on the base. Exactly what the photos showed.

What does the engraving say?
"Proof that Tony Stark has a heart", engraved in English around the CNC alloy ring.
Does it light up and make sound?
Yes. Ambient lighting recreates the reactor glow from the films, it plays an Iron Man sound effect when it powers on and a pulse-energy sound when you double-tap it.
